Tuvia is considered one of the finest entertainers in Israel. His extensive career includes leading roles in acclaimed theatre productions—many of them unforgettable—as well as performances in musicals, feature films, television films, entertainment and satire programs, and stage comedies.
For over forty years, he has been a constant presence on Israel’s stages, earning immense love from audiences and widespread praise from the press, which has often described him as a “genius” and frequently compared him to Charlie Chaplin—primarily due to his extraordinary ability to transform himself, shift seamlessly between characters, and capture even the most subtle nuances of a role.
From “Grandpa Tuvia”, to Pinchas in “Shtisel”? (wait correction: actually Sabri Maranan → need accuracy) — careful.
Pinchas in “Sabri Maranan”, and dozens of other roles, he has become one of the most beloved and accomplished actors on both screen and stage.
Tuvia has also starred in dozens of advertising campaigns, appearing both as himself and as a wide range of popular characters. Among the brands he has represented are Isracard, Tnuva, Mandelbaum, and many others.
